Before you buy

Buying & delivery Who we are, how to order, and getting your products to you
Who operates Just Wedi?

Just Wedi is run by Just Building Products Ltd. We are the UK’s only licensed supplier of wedi tile backer boards, shower trays, and installation products for bathrooms and wet rooms.

We are not the manufacturer — we supply genuine wedi products and help you find the right items for your project.

Do you supply trade and DIY customers?

Yes. Whether you are a professional installer, a merchant, or doing a bathroom at home, you are welcome to shop with us.

If you buy regularly for work, you can apply for a trade account to make repeat ordering easier.

How do I pay, and is VAT included?

You can pay securely by card at checkout using WooPayments. We never store your full card details on our website.

All prices are in pounds (£) and are shown excluding VAT, with VAT added at checkout. The checkout page shows the tax before you confirm your order. You can read more in our terms and conditions.

How quickly can I receive my order?

It depends on what you order and where it needs to go. Some items are in stock and ship quickly; others may need a little longer if they are coming from the supplier.

Product pages show availability, and checkout shows delivery options before you pay. Any delivery dates shown on the site are a guide rather than a guarantee. Our delivery information page has the full picture.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to mainland UK addresses using couriers and pallet delivery services. Delivery cost is calculated at checkout once you enter your postcode — we do not hide shipping in the product price.

We cannot currently deliver to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Wight, the Isles of Scilly, or offshore addresses such as the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Large or heavy orders may need good vehicle access — see delivery information for details.

Can I collect my order?

We normally deliver to your home or job site. If collection would suit you better, please get in touch before you place your order and we will let you know if we can arrange it.

Can I request a quote without a trade account?

Yes — a trade account is not required. You can send a shopping list on our bulk quote page, or build a list from the cart using Get a quote. You will need a free Just Wedi account to submit a cart quote and track it in My Account.

Do you offer trade pricing or accounts?

Trade customers can apply for a trade account for business ordering. DIY customers can create a regular account to save details and track orders.

Everyone sees the same catalogue prices at checkout. If you would like a price for a whole project, use Get a quote on the cart, send a list via bulk quote, or contact us — we are happy to help.

Product suitability Choosing boards, shower systems, heating, and the extras you need
Which wedi board do I need?

For most bathroom and shower walls — and many floor areas in wet rooms — the standard wedi building board is the usual starting point. It is waterproof, easy to tile onto, and comes in different thicknesses to suit your project.

If you are building a steam room or steam shower, wedi recommend their Vapor 85 board instead. For hot-water underfloor heating, the PreLine board has ready-made channels for the pipes. Browse our tile backer boards, read the downloads on each product page, and contact us with your room sizes if you would like a hand choosing.

Are these products suitable for wet rooms?

Yes — wedi products are widely used in wet rooms when fitted correctly. The shower floor usually starts with a Fundo tray (with a built-in slope and drain), and the walls are lined with wedi boards sealed at the joints.

Have a look at our showers and trays range and download the installation guide for your chosen products before you buy — it is worth reading through once so you know what is involved.

Can I use wedi boards with underfloor heating?

In most cases, yes. wedi boards work well under underfloor heating because they help keep the warmth in the room rather than letting it escape downwards.

Electric heating mats can often be laid on top of the boards, as long as your heating kit is approved for wet areas. For piped hot-water systems, wedi offer PreLine boards with channels already cut for the pipes. Check the product downloads and your heating manufacturer’s instructions, and ask us if you are unsure which product fits your setup.

What accessories are required?

A typical wedi shower needs more than boards and a tray — you will also want the right sealant, fixings, and any drain or curb parts listed for your chosen system. wedi’s own guides explain exactly which items work together.

Tiles should be fixed with a proper tile adhesive (thin-bed mortar), not tile glue from a tube. Related products are shown on each page, and you can browse everything in one place under installation accessories.

Installation support Guides, advice before you buy, and what we can help with
Do you provide installation guides?

Yes. Where wedi provide them, installation manuals and step-by-step guides are linked on each product page. We recommend downloading and reading them before your installer starts — it saves surprises on the day.

Are technical datasheets available?

Yes. Product pages include datasheets, dimensions, and specification documents whenever wedi publish them. If you cannot find a document you need, let us know and we will point you in the right direction.

Can I get advice before ordering?

Of course. Send us a sketch, a list of products, or a few photos of your space via our contact page and we will help you pick suitable items from our range.

We cannot sign off structural or building-regulation decisions for you — that stays with your installer — but we are glad to talk through product choice before you commit to an order.

Do you install products or provide on-site fitting?

No — we supply products only. We do not carry out installation or fitting work ourselves. You will need a competent tiler or bathroom installer, following the manufacturer’s guides for your project.

Do I need specialist tools?

Most wedi work uses everyday tiling tools — a sharp knife, trowel, drill, tape measure, and a careful approach to sealing the joints. The manufacturer’s guide will flag anything out of the ordinary for your particular products.

Returns & issues Changing your mind, damaged deliveries, and how to get help
What’s your returns policy?

If you bought online for personal use, you may have 14 days after delivery to change your mind and return most items. Custom-made, bespoke, and special-order products are often excluded — we will make that clear before you buy.

Returns usually need to be unused and in resaleable condition. Business and trade orders may follow different rules. Everything is explained on our returns and refunds page, and your legal rights always apply.

What if products arrive damaged?

Please check your delivery as soon as you can — especially if it arrived on a pallet or in heavy packaging. If anything is damaged or missing, take a few photos and note it on the delivery paperwork if the driver is still there.

Then contact us with your order number and we will sort out a replacement, repair, or refund depending on what is fair and what you are entitled to.

Can I cancel an order?

The sooner the better — get in touch with your order reference and we will do our best. If your order has not shipped yet, cancellation is usually straightforward.

Once goods are on their way, normal return terms apply. See our returns policy for what happens next.

Who pays return postage?

If you are returning something because you changed your mind, you will normally need to cover the cost of sending it back and make sure it is well packaged. If we sent the wrong item or something arrived faulty, that is different — we will put things right.

Our returns and refunds page covers delivery charges and refunds in full.
